Jimena Castro is an architect
and qualified health planner. Her first two qualifications
are from the University of Chile and the latter two
from the Medical Architecture Research Unit (MARU).
She has been involved in health projects for over twenty-five
years, during which time she has worked on a wide range
of primary and acute health care facilities in the UK
and overseas. She has extensive experience in strategic
planning, development control planning and design of
health care buildings, feasibility studies and option
appraisals. Jimena's skills encompass working with clients
and users in both acute and primary care settings to
create and refine design briefs, and to develop and
review functional requirements and operational policies
to ensure that these are compatible.
