The Trust's strategic programme
was to bring together a wide range of health and social
care personnel and services into three centres. The first,
Hollywood Arches, combines a new building with a radically
refurbished existing health centre with the area between
then providing a light and welcoming atrium. This building
is nearing completion. The Lisburn Road project has received
planning approval and work has begun on site. The design
for Castlereagh is complete, but the project is not yet
on site.
Our experience in working with many GP practices and other
primary and community healthcare staff was invaluable
in discussing new ways of working with staff for these
projects. We were also able to identify with them the
benefits which could be achieved for both clients and
staff by the design of the buildings.
