An acclaimed design that promotes the partnership of the GP practice and Community Services which occupy it. A central atrium is the principal organising space providing both a visual link and a high level of daylighting for the patient areas on the ground floor, and the staff and teaching spaces above. Framed views of the garden and pond, and the curved focal reception counter engender a sense of wellbeing to both staff and patients. As well as providing effective primary healthcare to meet the needs of the local community, the Fairfield Health Centre is an enrichment of this leafy suburban site.
